Monique Lamerand

Neurological Occupational Therapist B.App.Sc (OT)

Monique became an occupational therapist because she wanted to support people with re-engaging in the daily activities that were important to them.

Monique enjoys the process of scripting appropriate equipment or modifying a client’s home so that they can remain there comfortably and safely. She especially loves helping her clients find the ‘fun’ activities in their week so that the focus in their life is on enjoyable things, rather than just medical and therapy appointments.

Monique brings a breadth of education and training to the Steps Occupational Therapy team, with over 30 years’ experience in treating clients with neurological conditions. She is also a keen mentor and has spent the past eight years training and supervising allied health professionals in severe ABI rehabilitation.
